The deadband of the DCL smart electric actuator is fully adjustable. Deadband defines the actuator’s sensitivity to the input control signal. A smaller deadband results in higher sensitivity; however, higher sensitivity is not always beneficial. When the input signal is easily affected by external interference, a larger deadband helps prevent frequent false starts, thereby extending the actuator’s service life and improving operational stability. Conversely, if the input signal is clean and high-precision control is required, a smaller deadband provides better performance.

Another key factor affecting valve positioning accuracy is the gear backlash, particularly the machining precision of the worm gear set. Our SQE team uses specialized testing equipment to verify and ensure the quality of every gear supplied. In addition, DCL applies multiple proprietary design features and strict assembly process controls to eliminate gear oscillation and minimize noise under different load conditions.
